Good Morning ~ it's PPPP Day

Well, the day has finally arrived:  We can post our pincushions.  I recently began to sew again with the assistance of my sisters and my neices.  I actually learned to sew in high school, but have been away from it for a lot of years.

So, in the the last 2 1/2 months, I've been busy making many pincushions:

I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else has been doing & all the wonderful Pincushion Parade's.

THEY COME BRINGING GIFTS

Sisters are the best, they always send the nicest gifts.  Each of my sisters have made me so many things, but I’m only going to post a few for now.

These first two, are pincushions or they can hang on these cute wooden boards with a dowel on them.

Next is a gift from One of my other sisters.  Because I am constantly having hot flashes!

It’s just one fan, I just pictured both sides.

This last gift, I received from my little sister, she sent it just a few weeks ago for my birthday.  The people in the picture are me and all my siblings.

Family is the best!  Thanks ladies!

My first attempts at pincushions

As you can tell, I really love bright colors!  With the help of my sister, I have redone my page.  And with the help of 3 sister’s and my niece, I have begun sewing again.

This first group of pincushions are all done with bottle caps for the base.  I love how they look like cupcakes.

This next group; some are done from following instructions online.  The bird and the two with red rickrack I made up, and the pinwheel was done from what my sister sent to me.  She cut it all out and pinned it and mailed it to me, then showed me where the instructions were on how to sew it together

So, now it begins

Sewing is something my mom and sister's have done for many years.  They have invited me many times, but it isn't until now that the world is in the middle of a pandemic, that I have finally found the time to get everything set up and I'm finally sewing again.

I plan to enter the Perfectly Pleasing Pincushion Parade in June.

So, here we go..........
